Now into it's fifth year, it's still a bit hard to define.  Come along and find out for yourself the delights of fine food, fine movies and fun.

 Our mission is to inspire and engage people through the experience of international cinema, building cultural awareness and understanding through high quality, award winning international film while enjoying delicious fresh regional food, and good company with people who enjoy great movies in a lively environment.

Held on third Wednesday monthly from 6:40pm (except January) Eumundi World Cinema is a not to be missed social evening that more and more people are popping into their diaries.

My Life as a Courgette (French: Ma vie de Courgette; also titled My Life as a Zucchini) is a 2016 Swiss-French stop motion comedy-drama film directed by Claude Barras. 

It is a story about a young man from a troubled background who finds himself in a home with other abandoned children.  It is a story of love and hope and deals warmly and sensitively with the dark side of life.

The film was nominated for the Best Animated Feature Film at the 89th Academy Awards. It was also selected as the Swiss entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards.

It received critical acclaim with a rating of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 123 reviews, with an average rating of 8.2/10. The site's critical consensus reads, "My Life as a Zucchini's silly title and adorable characters belie a sober story whose colorful visuals delight the senses even as it braves dark emotional depths."

On Metacritic, the film received a rating of 85 out of 100, based on 28 critics, indicating "universal acclaim". Don't miss this film which has been described as the best animation since 'Mary and Max'.


My Life as a Zucchini screens on Wednesday 18 July at 6:40pm for supper (movie starts at 7:05pm) at Eumundi School of Arts Hall, Cnr Memorial Drive and Pacey Street, Eumundi.
